Upload thumbnail images to customize your content levels, and make them easy to identify at a glance.

These images appear in several spots in the learner app (link to learner app).

Learner interface with several accordions showing Topics. Each Topic has an image. The context panel is open and displays one of the Topic's images in the header and beside each Concept.

When an object has no image, it will inherit the image from the closest level above it.

In the example above, the Concept inherited the image from the Topic. If the Topic had no image, the Concept would have inherited the image from the Module. If the Module had no image, the default OttoLearn image (shown below) would have displayed.

Adding a Thumbnail Image

To add a thumbnail image to a content level:

  1. Click within the thumbnail area, beside the text at the top of the context panel.

Topic context panel, Attributes tab. Close up of Topic name at top of panel and circle beside it where you can click to upload an image.
  2. Select an image from your file manager.

As you can see below, you can have a lot of fun with this.

Topic context panel, Attributes tab. Close up of Topic name at top of panel and circle beside it where a GIF has been uploaded.

OttoLearn will automatically try to resize and center the image in the display area. For best results, we recommend uploading images that are 1440x900px.

Supported image formats: jpeg, png, gif, svg
